Privacy Policy

Updated October 5, 2026. This policy explains how Votesly uses information when you browse, sign in, and participate.

Information we use

Google sign-in supplies an account identifier, email address, name, and profile image. We store the content and activity needed to provide your account, including polls, votes, comments, suggestions, uploads, follows, bookmarks, Votelists, drafts, notifications, preferences, and viewed-poll history. Requests also include technical information such as IP addresses and browser details used for security and reliability.

Why we use it

We use this information to authenticate users, save activity across devices, maintain vote counts, deliver notifications, handle reports, prevent abuse, and operate the service. Google/Firebase and our hosting and database providers process information needed to provide these functions.

Public and private information

Public polls, profile information, comments, suggestions, and public Votelists can be seen by other visitors and may appear in search engines or sharing previews. Account email, session credentials, private drafts, bookmarks, and viewed-poll history are not public profile information. Visibility and collaboration settings determine access to restricted content. Avoid posting sensitive personal information.

Cookies and browser storage

Votesly uses cookies for sign-in sessions and request security, and browser storage for preferences and cached app data. Clearing storage or blocking essential cookies may sign you out or reset local preferences. Advertising technologies are separate from these essential functions.

Google advertising

When Google AdSense ads are served, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to serve and measure advertising. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to personalize ads based on visits to Votesly and other websites. Other advertising vendors may also use cookies where enabled. Learn how Google uses information from partner sites and see Google advertising technology providers.

Advertising choices

Manage Google personalized advertising through My Ad Center. You can also visit YourAdChoices for participating third-party opt-outs. Where a consent message is shown, use its choices to accept, reject, or manage advertising purposes and vendors. Advertising opt-outs do not remove essential sign-in storage or necessarily remove all ads.

Retention and account controls

Use Settings to edit your profile and preferences or delete your account. You can also remove content using the controls available for it. Information is kept as needed to operate the service and address security, moderation, and legal obligations; deletion of active records may not immediately remove backups, operational logs, search-engine copies, or copies saved by others.

Privacy requests and updates

Email [email protected] for access, correction, deletion, or other privacy questions, including when you cannot access your account. We may need to verify ownership before acting. This page will be updated when our practices change.
